Kenneth Oh Jun Meng – Executive Sous Chef
Having worked in kitchens since the age of 15, this ambitious chef has trained alongside experienced chefs all over the world, even taking time out to learn German. With so many culinary adventures under his belt, it is safe to say Kenneth has had an interesting career to date. This rising star was trained at Seedamm Plaza, Switzerland, for eight months before starting his tenure at Gattopardo.
Kenneth was born and raised in Malaysia, and started his love affair with food from a young age. His passion is so infectious he describes it as being a focal point in his daily life. When he is not serving up delicious culinary creations at Gattopardo, he visits the local markets and travels around for inspiration. This self-described ‘foodie’ also has a patriotic side, admitting that he is a big advocate of sustainable food. Whilst he acknowledges it may not be the cheapest option, he does feel it’s something that’s important.
Now in his role as Executive Sous Chef at Gattopardo Ristorante di Mare, Kenneth hopes that one day, he will be able to showcase his techniques by injecting the ‘Oomph’ factor into his dishes.
